Funeral set for fallen students

The funeral for the three University of Mississippi students who died in a car crash Sunday morning is set for Wednesday morning.

Samuel Clayton Kelly, 18, Charles Walker Kelly, 19, and Bryant Mason Wilbanks, 19, all of Madison, died in a car accident Sunday while on their way back to school after a weekend trip home, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Visitation for all three families is set for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison. The funeral for the three friends is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. The families requested for those attending the funeral to wear red and blue.

Dean of Students Sparky Reardon said the university would bus students to Madison for the funeral. Reardon said the bus or buses would likely leave at 6:30 a.m. Interested students should contact Reardon at [email protected].
