Two flat screen televisions were stolen from the Alpha Tau Omega house over the weekend.
ATO President John Becknell received a call Saturday around 9 a.m. saying that their two flat screen TVs were stolen from the house.
Becknell notified the police immediately file a to report the incident.
“Our advisers and house corporation estimate (that) it will cost $4,000 to replace both of them” Bucknell said. “The downstairs TV was a 60-inch and was pretty heavy. It would take more than one person to get it out.”
The upstairs TV has a 40-inch screen and was mounted to the wall, he said. ATO was not hosting a party at their house Friday night.
“There was no one over here Friday night,” Bucknell said. “The last we heard someone was watching TV at 4 a.m. because they couldn’t sleep.”
Bucknell says ATO has changed the code to their house and will continue to change the code weekly to prevent a future break in.
UPD Chief Calvin Sellers confirmed the thefts occurred however was not in his office Monday afternoon so could not give further details.
No suspects have been apprehended, Sellers said.
