If you're going to say gay is bad, fine - just don't be so stupid about it. Don't say gay is bad because of AIDS. If that's the case, being African is twice as bad as being gay. Pegging a virus with moral consequence is about as smart as saying the Amish hardly ever die in car wrecks, so they MUST be better people than the rest of us.
Views presented on homosexuality are one-sided, and its portrayal as a completely healthy alternative lifestyle is inaccurate. Fact is, being gay is very hazardous to one's health. The movement has an increasingly bad influence upon children. Gay advocacy groups such as the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network blatantly teach sexual practices in their seminars set up for high school teenagers.
Admirably, the University of Mississippi is devising even more ways to take advantage of the historic event that is the 2008 presidential debates coming to Ole Miss in the fall, but this time, the major beneficiaries will the students. There are currently 10 courses created specifically for the fall semester that will be centered around the presidential debate and more may be to come.
