Recently, editorial pages across the nation have taken a turn on Motor City. Never have so many writers had two cents to chip in on the sorry state of the automotive industry. Most of these experts probably can’t even drive with a clutch. But as a car guy by birthright, my heros are captains of industry, fearless behind the wheel and visionaries of the American Dream. Guys like Henry Ford, Randsom E. Olds and Louis Chevrolet. All I ever wanted to do for the past decade was build cars; let me play Detroit’s advocate for a moment.
