I really enjoyed the article on Wednesday about Mississippi law enforcement fighting new drugs. While I agree that bath salts could be the death of us all if not immediately banned, I want to bring to people’s attention a far more serious malady afflicting our community: spinning in office chairs.

A new drug has emerged in Mississippi and around the country. Ivory Wave, or “charge” as it is known on the street, is a bath salt that is used as a narcotic.

The drug, which is compared to methamphetamine, is currently legal in the state of Mississippi.

However, the Lafayette County metro narcotics unit and the state legislature are pushing for regulation of the substance.
