The National Day of Prayer is annually set for May 5, but Oxford will begin praying a full 12 hours earlier.
Janet Davis, the chairperson for Oxford’s National Day of Prayer, said a “Watch around the Clock” will begin at noon on Wednesday, May 4, and end at noon on Thursday, May 5.
“The primary mission of the NDP Task Force is to mobilize the Christian community to intercede for America and its leadership,” Davis said.
