Are you lying about anything online?

Be honest, have you really read and loved the entire works of Dostoevsky in the original Russian? Do you really celebrate the entire catalogue of Woody Allen’s early works? If you’re lying about anything in an online profile, it could soon be a criminal offense if the White House gets its way.

Is the U.S. government setting itself up for failure with Obama's new student loan plan?

We live in an age of irresponsibility.

It appears that no one seems to take the blame when things go wrong, and everyone feels entitled to something.

Life costs money. We have to pay for living arrangements, food, insurance and, of course, taxes. A paycheck of “X” dollars can only go so far. So, when you add debt into the equation, “X” is worth even less.

Some people take out loans to help pay for these things while in college.

President Barack Obama is holding the first-ever town hall Q&A session with Americans via the social network Twitter on July 6.

I for one, am very interested in the leader of our country’s attempt at intertwining social networking with government business. I don’t think I have any real problems with it; after all, the president held a Facebook town hall in April and successfully used the site during his 2008 campaign.

I was putting the final touches on my column for next week Sunday night when I heard the news. Osama bin Laden, the man our country has been searching for near on a decade, is dead.

Well, so much for  that column. I saved the document onto the hard drive of my computer, opened a blank page in Word and began writing the column you see before you today.

Donald Trump finally got the roasting he deserved at Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ dinner.

Comedian Seth Meyers said, “Donald Trumps often appears on Fox, which is ironic because a fox often appears on his head!”

The dinner, which was a gathering of big name D.C. reporters, politicians and celebrities, blasted Trump on nearly every aspect of his life, which is well-deserved.

Once upon time, a U.S. president realized that American corporations were running rampant, unchecked and largely outside the jurisdiction of the government.

Once upon time, a U.S. president realized that American corporations were running rampant, unchecked and largely outside the jurisdiction of the government.

Seeing that this needed to be dealt with, he swiftly reigned in businesses with a number of tax reforms to force them to pay what they truly owed their government.

While it was by no means perfect, it was certainly a step in the right direction, and it helped curb the unfair practices that previously benefited solely the wealthiest minority.

According to the Pittsburg Post-Gazette, President Obama’s job approval rating has gradually climbed higher since 2010.

According to the Pittsburg Post-Gazette, President Obama’s job approval rating has gradually climbed higher since 2010.

The statistics do not surprise me when compared to the 2009 ratings when things were looking bleak for the president.

This gives me proof for my theory: We should not judge a president by his first two years of presidency.

Don’t get me wrong, we should judge how much work he puts into the bills he wants to get passed, but the progress of those bills cannot be judged in the short-term.

1) Anything involving Glenn Beck: Washington is just rally-happy this year. A week or so ago, that paranoid Mr. Potato Head we all know and love, Glenn Beck, led his 9/12 march on Washington. Once there, he proceeded to go over his plans for the future of America, which I think included, but were not limited to: mandatory yelling at all times, daily crying sessions and covering your eyes and ears while shouting, “La la la la!” whenever minorities pass by. His speeches are like a Mad-Lib of political terms, so I’m a-okay with letting him grace Capitol Hill any time.

If there is any such thing as a sure bet this year, it is that the 112th Congress that will convene in January 2011 will be led by Republicans.

Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the United States of America and the commercial space industry. Unfortunately, we are far away from zipping around the galaxy in futuristic spacecraft. However, we are entering a new frontier in our journey to space, one of a private space travel industry.
